ADSL

A broadband internet connection technology. ADSL stands for Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line.

ADSL is the most common type of fast connection to the Internet.

Asymmetric means that the upload speed is different to the download speed. For example, a typical non-fibre connection has a download speed of 70Mb per second and a much slower upload rate of about 18 Mbps.

A full fibre-to-the-home connection offers downloads speeds in the region of 900 Mbps and an upload speed of around 100 Mbps
